The 2026 calendar mixes familiar crown-jewel weekends with several major venue changes:

  • San Diego joined the Cup calendar: NASCAR raced a temporary street course at Naval Base Coronado on June 21.
  • Chicagoland returned: the Joliet oval hosted Cup racing again on July 5 after last appearing in 2019.
  • North Wilkesboro became a points race: its July 19 event was the track's first Cup points race since 1996.
  • Dover hosted the All-Star Race: the exhibition moved to Dover Motor Speedway on May 17.
  • Homestead-Miami gets the finale: Championship Weekend returns there on November 8.
